Junior Environmental Technician/Technologist
Location: Canada
Summary: Graduate of the Environmental Technology program at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT). Looking to gain valuable field experience. Willing to work outdoors in all weather. Can drive pickup trucks in both urban and backroad conditions.
Position: Winter Field School
Duration: 1 month
Summary: Spent a few days gaining exposure to Winter field work. This was an optional “extra” offered during reading week and I chose to participate.
Location: Kananaskis
Position: Water Sampling Technician
Duration: 1 month
Using a portable water sampling field kit, testing for the following parameters: pH, chloride, phosphate, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, nitrogen and temperature.
Position: Guest Speaker
Duration: 1 month
I was recommended by the Academic Chair of the Environmental Technology Program at SAIT & invited to speak at CiCan 2024 about sustainability and the "green" skills gap from a students perspective as a recent graduate

Sarah has a keen interest in Geology, and she was keenly engaged in class and asked great questions to deepen her understanding.
